Jewels Of The Urban Night

Iconic cities and buildings throughout the globe inspire this collection. This does not necessarily mean the most beautiful buildings, as I have never heard the BT tower called beautiful! But I like to take elements from these building and immortalize them into little wearable sculptures. One of my favourite London buildings is the Trellick Tower, built as a council estate in the 1960's it has such a dramatic silhouette, like its miniature counterpart.

For me, the New York City skyline is one of the most memorable in the world with its black sky and twinkling windows, which inspired me to create 'New York Night' ring and necklace. The ring is a powerful piece that climbs the finger in a graduation of princess-cut diamonds. 'Paris' earrings are a stylized version of the Eiffel Tower; conical, articulated, studded with diamonds and terminating in a sharp point - dangerous jewellery!

People are drawn to the collection and often choose pieces from their home city, possibly out of loyalty. Some choose a city where a memory is attached, others because of their miniature architectural qualities. This collection continues to grow and keeps on globetrotting.
